Junk

Never underestimate the amount of junk that you can collect over time. Actually, the easiest way to find out is to just make a decision to move 3000 miles, and start boxing things up. WOW.

As I go through all the things in my house, I feel like I am watching the last 12 years of my life pass by, like in a movie. Happy and sad memories all come back. It is quite an emotional journey and an exercise in letting go.
As I post this comment, the garbage truck is taking some of our things and destroying them and it is a little unsettling. I feel like running outside and shouting "Stop! These are my things!". But my brain tells me I cannot keep them all and they are not useful anymore, so I have to let go.

I still have lots of boxes to fill up. So I am going to stop now. I leave you with a few pictures of boxes and the greyhounds hard at work :-)! I will come back later.

PS: the greyhounds look like GREAT helpers! ;)
